Hotpoint WD865A stopped mid wash. 8pin chip U2 blown its to?

Hotpoint WD865A Washer Dryer.Just stopped mid wash.
Plug,fuse ,mains filter OK.

On Main Board IC U2, an eight pin DIL chip, had blown its top!!

Probably a low voltage SMPS chip??

But only mark left is T.....

Any info appreciated!!!

Lord only knows what else got taken out when the chip got popped. Best bet is a new pcb. It's worth checking to see if it needs to be programmed and getting one that has been firmware updates.
