How do I replace the cord on my Hoover wind tunnel vacuum?

I have the new cord and I am good at repairs. Which part to I unscrew to get to the connections?

It is a Hoover Wind Tunnel. It is not a retractable cord.

You will need a Phillips screw driver, a pair wire cutters, a wire stripper.
Remove the handle. This is the reverse of installing the handle in the owner's manual.
Open the attachments cover and remove all 4 screws from this piece. Lift the piece that holds the attachments straight out. Here you see the end of the cord. Cut the wires where they meet the internal wires in the vacuum (there were crimped wire nuts on my machine). Pull the old cord out and insert the new cord through the grommet on the machine. Pay attention to the way the cord wraps around plastic posts so it is not pulled out. Strip the wires and connect the white to white and brown to the wire (in my machine it was orange) that goes to the switch. Wire tie the wires down after you have connected them so they don't have pressure placed on the connections. Reinstall the plastic cover and handle. You are finished.

Good luck.
