Dual Flush Toilet - No markings to indicate make and model?

I have a dual flush toliet, which re-flushes once, approx 20 seconds after the initial flush. I've tried both the short flush and long flush buttons, which appear to work correctly, but in both cases there is a second flush. Have tried to take the lid off the cistern, and have tried to twist the ring on the lid which houses the 2 buttons to remove the lid, but it wont move, so not sure if this is the correct method of removal - any suggestions to both questions?

Thanks JC plumbing, that's just the info I needed too to fix mine, 5 minute job. Pressed 1 button down then prised the other out gently, undid the screw and off came the top. Adjusted the float and hey presto, all done...many thanks

If it's like mine, an air operated dual flush, have a plumber come and throw it in the bin, they are useless. I have had three buttons and three syphons in a year . The last one worked for a week. Go back to the old single flush lever if you can. End of problem.

On some toilets you need to pull the dual push buttons up as there is a screw underneath them which holds the cistern lid down
