No hot water from the taps!?

Hello,

We have a valiant boiler (about 20 years old and has been working fine) that is lighting when the heating comes on and will then give hot water to the taps. However when the heating is not on and we turn the hot tap on the boiler does not fire up and give instant hot water, any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers
Jon

Yep - we've got the same problem.
We've also been told the flow switch or diaphragm.
Quoted £270 for part plus fitting. (Not sure if this is accurate price)
Vaillant 20 years old. Decided to replace boiler with new Vaillant ecotec plus condensing.

Flow Switch? Diaphragm?
