passenger side doors not opening with key?

i have a ford focus lx old shape and the passenger side doors will not open with key the car has central locking and only opens the drivers door. i have put a new battery in the car keys but am still haveing the same problum

try pushin the unlock button twice. My key opens the drivers side first then the passenger on the second press.

not sure if this helps but I have an 01 SE focus and my keys would open doors but not turn ignition.. I had to have a new ignition system installed... maybe try getting a brand new key made from the vin numbers?
