How do I get out of SAFE MODE??? HELP ...PLEASE!!?
I have Windows XP (Intel insides) and use Qualcomm's Eudora e-mail program.
I called Qualcomm (twice) recently about an e-mail problem. i live on the east coast, qualcomm is in san diego. I was put on 'hold' two times for approx. 40 minutes each while waiting for help. they did eventually solve my problem...somewhat.
Qualcomm immediatley had me put my computer in 'safe mode' (I forget how.) However, they never got me 'out' of it, and by the time we finished, i'd forgotten I was even in it.
My computer is essentially working ok now, but with limited
capacities due to being in safe mode.
Try as I might, I can NOT figure out how to get my computer out of safe mode and into whatever mode it needs to be in to operate more efficiently. It is very limited in safe mode.
When I turn the computer on I get a 'two second' (seriously) view of a very black page with white writing saying 'Your computer is in Safe Mode' - it also shows a 'Recorery Mode'
with some writing beneath it that it tells you something about using arrows, but within 2 seconds the entire page disappears, ...and my Windows XP opens up, with limits.
There is writing that covers most of the 'black' page but one is unable to read it within the time limit. The only two options on the page are definitely 'safe mode' and 'recovery mode'.
I have managed to quickly use an arrow and get into the recovery mode but it then asks for numbers, and things i don't know what they are asking, or where they are to be found. I also don't believe Recovery Mode is what I want or where I need to be.
Does anyone know for sure?
My computer seems to be running ok, but with limited abilities.
Is there ANYONE one there who can tell me HOW TO GET OUT OF SAFE MODE and into 'whatever' mode one needs to be in
to run windows xp properly??? And, if Recovery Mode is what i want, what numbers do they want? (I do have some 'stickers' on top of my computer but have no clue what they are asking for.)
If there is some 'quick fix' i would gladly compensate whoever
can give me any information that works.
thank you...
