My dvd player cannot read dvds anymore?

I just bought this dvd player and after a few weeks it and now whenever I put a dvd in there, it just scans for awhile then reports "no disc". Last time it worked, I was watching a dvd, the player froze. I stopped the dvd and then it wouldn't read dvds anymore. I have tried various dvds so I know its the player and not the discs. The dvd player is truTech. I bought it for only $30 at Target so I know its not the greatest thing in the world but I had it less than a month so I find it strange that it would just break all of a sudden.

Sounds like you got a bad machine. If it's within a month, the normal return time for most retail stores, I would return it back to Target for a refund and then buy another one to start from fresh with. Get them to give you the new online price of $20 for their tiny space saving model trutech T600-D at the store. It should last about 2yrs if you use it daily and longer if not.

try using a dvd cleaner disc.
