How to dismantle my DC05 to fit a new motor?

I have bought a new motor to replace mine, but I cannot find a logical means of opening it up. Do the wheels have to be removed, if so how?

I am now answering my own question as I got the info elsewhere. You do need to remove the wheels by steadily increasing the lever pressure using two large screwdrivers. This reveals the two torex screws on either side which hold the casing together. Thereafter it comes apart easily without the use of tools.
