Finding parts for the LA-Z-BOY Relaxor recliner ?

A short time ago my sister had given me her old LA-Z-BOY recliner,
The RELAXOR model. It seems that her pet had chewed some of the wiring for the hand held control, and they had given up on trying to fix it. It is still a very nice model and I would really like to get it working again. I may be able to re-wire the control device If it is no longer available. However the power converter to power the system is missing, and I do not know what voltage the system works on. I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in getting as much information on this, so I can get the chair to perform once again as it was intended. Thank You!

I, too, have a Lazy Boy recliner, bought in 2001, with a Relaxor heat/massage unit. The heat still works, but the massage part doesn't. Does anyone know if parts are still available for this unit? Husband seems to think it might be the control.

It's 12v AC 1.5 amp. Im using a 12v ac 2.5 amp regulated adaptor purchased from maplins. had to cut the plug off and solder my own on. most have only one out put lead so you cant power the fridge and massager. i soldered spurs to the out put lead so i can have fridge and massager wired but cant use them both at the same time. the la z boy adapter must have 2 output leads, one for fridge and the other for the heated massager.

I got an email back from La-Z-Boy claiming they didn't manufacture the Relaxor recliner, therefore they couldn't help me. Do I have that right? Why does the remote say La-Z-Boy on it?

Laura, March 2009
A 12v adapter did it for me.

I also need that part that plug into the wall.

you could always cut off the female end of the the plug and cut off the male end of the power supply, and either solder or twist together and cover with electrical tape. (Make sure you have the poles correct when pairing up the wires)

can u buy a new spring for a lazy boy recliner?

shirley Hopkins, October 2007
the voltage is 12 volts, 25 watt transformer made by laz y boy, the problem is finding a replacement as the plug for the adapter is different from a normal one, good luck.
