my engine management ligght comes on periodically how can i fix this

hiya mike, it seems that the sensor loom needs to be replaced .Either the camsensor or the crankone! This should cure it. Worth checking the plugs to see if theres oil down the plug holes prior to ordering any sensors. If there is oil in holes replace the rocker boxgasket.
If problem is still there Id get rid off the car!

Same problem with my omega 2.2 my 2000. Check that the camshaft sensor plug is making a good conection and is not covered in water/oil. Another check is to take the centre cover off the engine and check to see if the plugs are not swimming in oil. A common problem with the VX eco engine. Caused by the cam cover not making and letting oil into the plug holes. The oil will eventually short out the plugs giving rough running, misfire, and signals the ecu that it is not running correctly which in turn puts the engine management light on. Hope this helps.
