How can I fix my noisy Boiler?

I have a Myson apollo fanfare 30/50 and it works perfectly well but today I have noticed it has become noisy. This noise happens whenever the boiler is switched on heating water for the central heating or water tank.It sounds like wind blowing through the pipes, especially from the boiler to the first three radiators. This noise can be heard through the radiators. This noise stops when boiler shuts down. Can anyone help with any theories or suggestions? Many Thanks

If it sounds like somebody hammering on the pipes when the boiler fires up, and is much worse when the heating is switched on it is probably the thermostat. If this is gone the boiler fires up but the pump does not turn on causing the pipes to bang. the thermostat is located, looking inside from the front, on the right hand side near the bottom at the back. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your advice John.Do you think the air is trapped in pipes close to the boiler? If I have air in the system I only Know how to bleed the radiators. All the radiators are hot and don't appear to need bled!
What do you think?

sounds like you have air in the system and you need to bleed it.
