My Zanussi Aquacycle 1050 has stopped spinning?

My 8 yr old Zanussi Aquacycle 1050 has stopped spinning and makes an awful noise when it reaches the spin cycle. Would this be a reasonably priced repair job or do I need a new machine?

hi sounds like bearing collapse to me,check the drum for up & down movement (if so buy new)
