My Dishwasher is running it's full cycle but the soap dispenser is not opening and the machine is not heating the water.

Are these two probelms related - I need to know what I'm looking at. Is it a heater element or themostat and why the soap dispenser?

I have looked at spare parts site but no one seems to be selling heating elements ...... just doap dispnsers and cutlery baskets etc. Any ideas? Or do I just bin it and get a new one

Oh how stupid do I feel Dot com! After finding out everything I can about how a dishwasher works and potential parts sourcing and even gettingthe correct star screw driver to open up the front door .....

I didn't think about 1 year old boys pressing the bottons on the front to re-programme it to rinse only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you imagine if I had got a bloke in!! £70 quid to press a button!
