if your buying a cd plaer you need to go to halfords which will sell you a fitting plate (to fill the excess gap in the dashboard and a set of leads to connect it with, Smile sweetly at them and im sure they would fit it for you, it is really easy...
alternatively buy a cd player from a newer ka that have them fitted as standard, you could just unplug yours and plug the new one straight in, try www.nsec.co.uk they have ford ka cd players in stock
