DO NOT FOLLOW JAMES" INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER !!!!!!!

Follow exactly as he states except for the adding oil part !. James, I am sure means fil the filter with 1/2 litre of oil, then refit. Then having re fitted the sump plug, add the oil to the engine, Usually around 4 to five ltres !, check the level on the dip stick, then run the engine, and turn off, wait about a minute for oil o settle, then top up as necessary.

if your really not that car friendly i would ask a grage to do it...

however, it is easy...

remove the oil filler cap, the jack the car up and remove the sump plug, wait until all the oil has drained (into a washing up bowl is best) remove the oil filter ( normally only hand tight) replace the filter with a new one, screw in and tighten the sump plug securely but not over tightly, fill with a small amount of oil (eg 1/2 a litre) run engine for about 30 seconds then re-check oil, fill until the required level is achieved on the dip_stcik....

you thought it was going to be easy didnt you!!??!!??
