The display on my monitor has suddenly gone off,you can just about see the display but it is virtually black.Have checked for loose/burnt components etc.Does anyone know where I can get a circuit diagram?.(Ex tv eng, but from days of valves!).

pretty late but the monitor was given to me and i just recently got the problem too but i just bought a higher voltage power adapter and it seems to be working fine so far

Erik / Steve , I too had a similar problem with a medion 17" monitor but fortunately it was just inside its 12 month warranty period of which I sent it back via contacting their factory at Medion.co.uk and they replaced via a refurbed unit. Have noticed lots of TFT monitors for sale on Ebay with similar faults. There are limited invertor pcb's on ebay cheap but unsure if any of these will do the job but for a few quid buy it now option appears a possibility to try.

I have the same problem - the backlight failed on my Medion MD9323AJ. Needed an inverter DAC B018 and contacted Delta Electronics. Very friendly and quick reply but I was told that they don't deal with the public directly and advised me to contact http://www.laptopsolutions.plc.uk/
Pretty expensive item and with falling TFT prices, is it worth repairing?

Hi Erik
I have just found the same fault on a medion 15 inch tft screen
from taking it apart we found the DC-AC Backlight inverter had blown this is the supply to the backlights
the part number i have on my inverter is DAC 12B018
and it is made by Delta Electronics
needless to say the part No is slightly different
it is a DAC 12B019
i am currently in contact with Delta to see if this part will do the job!
