It may be overheating.
- Check that the air vents are clear and that there is no dust accumulation inside.
Does it turn off while you are actively using the computer, or after a few minutes of idle time.
Your computer's power settings may be set much to agressively.
- Check your power management settings and change them to your liking.
Check that the cables are all secure at both ends and undamaged: Power cable and signal cable.
- Un-plug and plug back your cables.
- Replace any damaged cable.
