how do i fix the vcr part dmr-es30v?

the vcr is making alot of noise when i put in a tape so i took the top off to see why. the noise comes from where the tape goes around the round thing....anyway i didnt do anything so now when i put a tape in.....the spools want take the tape back to play.....they just sit there. it just ejects the tape. why??? thanks

That's correct, the video will not operate without the ribbon connected. However, this is no test since if the ribbon is disconnected there will be no pg pulses from the cylinder unit and the video will automatically eject the cassette because the systems micro will think there is no cylinder rotation.

You should take it to an authorised Panasonic service centre.

it is the ribbon that goes from the board to the heads from sony awm 20798.....it seems to be a computer ribbon and the vcr want do anything right without it.
