How can I fix my Creative Nomad Jukebox?

I erased a bunch of old music from my Nomad Jukebox, model #DAP6G01. Now when I try to use it the usual screens come on until it says "Preparing Library" and just gets stuck there. I cannot even turn it off at that point and the only way I can get it to stop is to disconnect the AC adapter. I tried letting it run for a little while, thinking that it was resetting the library or some such thing since I had deleted some music, but I let it run for over an hour and it remained stuck at the "Preparing Library" screen. Any suggestions?

Winamp v5.53 Free now supports the DAP6G01.... I used it to wipe all the files and start fresh... It's working fine here. (you will need to install the driver you can find at creative.0

What does it do when you plug it into a PC? I have a Creative Nomad Muvo NX (an old 128MB flash drive player). It has a "Media Initializer" as part of the software that came with it. You plug it in and it sort of "reformats" the player. You HAVE to use this and not use Windows reformat for the Muvo NX. Maybe the Nomad Jukebox has something similar, or you can use Windows reformat as a last resort. Check your manual if you still have it. Hope this helps.
