When putting DVD in Apex AP-1165 player LED shows Close and then it opens immediately. Also does this w/o DVD in machine.

The belt is slipping to lock the cd/dvd tray completerly. Quick fix: take a q-tip and soak in alcohol, apply to belt. Also take a stick type glue and apply to q-tip to apply to belt. This usually works for a month or so and repeat or replace belt with another one.
