How do I fix the control switch on my Kenwood Chef A901?

The control switch of my Kenwood Chef A901 has popped away from the main cover and turns round without affecting the speed controller. If I push inwards when turning it, the machine works OK, but the control needs to be in just the right position to operate it correctly.
There is no other problem with the machine at all.

take the knob off and gently tap the shaft with a rubber or plastiic hammer (the shaft has come away from the housing poss due to the strong spring) ,If it's really bad superglue it back in.
