How to install aftermarket car audio in Vauxhall Astra 04?

I've removed the phillips stereo no problem but can't get the vauxhall cage out. There appears to be a star shaped screw holding it in at the back. Does anyone know what size screwdriver is required? and will removing this enable me to replace existing cage with an aftermarket cage?

The star shaped screwdriver is available at most DIY stores and as far as I know it only comes in one size. It's fairly small at the tip. I'm sure you could get a refund if it isn't the right size though.

hi there,

I am not sure what size screwdriver you need, but yes, it does allow the vauxhall cage to come out. You then need to disconect the wiring from the cage, and this will give you a standard ISO connector to connect in your new stereo.
