Aiwa:model,CXNA707- VOLUME SWITCH ONLY GOES LOWER?

RE; cxna707,Aiwa mini cd player. the volume knob sometimes lowers the volume when I turn it up. Is this hard to fix or can the volume switch be replaced with a new one? Is it possible it could just be dirty and can be sprayed clean?

mine had the same problem but its gotten better. what i did was just use two fingers and slowly turn it up and after a while it stoped going down instead of up. i have the model CX-NA707.

same issue with mine: volume initially would do the reverse as to what it was directed to, often it was me reacting to a too loud of a volume by attempting to turn it down---only to have to blasting louder.
Now volume doesn't work at all.
Tape decks also don't work----AND everytime system is turned on the tape decks go ka-clunk ka-clunk ka-clunk ka-clunk, VERY loudly.

I'm having this problem as well with this second hand Aiwa mini hi fi I bought recently. When I need to turn down the volume, it goes up instead. Is this a case of broken lever or something? Please help.. Thanks..

Had similar problem, only volume was ever increasing, hehe imagine what happens when you want to lower it fast - you get the opposite.

After 9 years of service looks like controller died - system not responding to anything with some lights on.
