How can I obtain a replacement VCR remote?

I have a Sony VCR Model SLV-N500, S/N 3-A-0239128. The remote suddenly quit working, but all controls on the VCR itself work OK. I have replaced the batteries in the remote to no avail. Is it possible to obtain a replacement remote?

try cpc.
or replace the little oscillator in the remote - orange or blue rectangle usually, maybe a local tech could do it for you.
