CD player keeps cutting out when i turn up the volume on my (X) 206 2.0 HDI?

i transferred my JVC head unit from my old car into this peugeot 206 HDI and it all seemed to work fine but when i turn the volume upto a certain level the cd player cuts out and turns on again contunuously then i just got a kenwood KDC-W4534 off my mate to see if it worked and that does the same thing.. is it a problem with the wireing? will i need an adator to solve this problem?

be great if someone can help

cheers

I've got a 206 and it did the same thing in my car when I swapped over the CD player......it's nothing to do with your wiring because it plays so it's fine......its the wattage on the speakers that cant cope with the volume coming from the CD player........my car had standard 40 watt speakers in and I replaced them with 100 watt speakers and now I can blast the sound out on full volume and it doesn't cut out.......hope that helps!!!!
