Battery for Chinon Camcorder?

I am having difficulty in obtaining a battery for my Chinon Camcorder - model VC1800 (no longer in production).
Battery type - Ni-Cd DC 6.0V 1200mAh - model OB-19. I have searched the web with no luck. Can anyone suggest where I can obtain this battery?

Hi there im not to sure where you would obtain a battery for this. i am having a problem getting a tape so i can start filming. i have exactly the same camrera as yourself. could you be of help. and il try and help you.

I am reliably informed that this has been discontinued but you'll find that the duracell DR-10 is a good enough replacement - disregard the difference of terminal config as the extra contacts are to provide memory information which would by some cameras alert the operator to remaining hours of battery life
