How do you remove child lock from a magnavox tv model #27ms343s without the remote? Have tried a universal remote but tv did not respond. Cannot turn unit on because child lock is on. unplugged the unit and even opened up the tv to see if there was some sort of reset switch. None of these things worked. Need Help!

how do you know it is child lock? sounds like the set is in prot. mode to me.
