audio works through the dvd recorder but no picture on screen whats wrong?

I have a philips dvdrw recorder but when it`s all set up there is only sound but no picture, this as just happened overnight.

Depending on your connections (what cables are you using?), if you have audio cables, try replugging the SCART plugs back in, with the power off.
