My washer was leaking oil. I removed the seal underneath the transmission. I need to know what kind of oil does it use and how much it holds. I also don't see a fill plug. If anyone know I would appreciate it. It is a Hotpoint brand and it is about twelve years old so it don't want to spend much money on it.

is it the old hotpoint top loader? as these are the only machines i know with gearbox/transmission if so and leaking oil its time for the scrap yard as these associated parts are now obselete..but after 12 years it dont owe you owt though...
