How do you extract the motor from the housing of a dyson dc07?

The motor is in a plastic housing, i have taken off the grey cover but the motor does not come out.

this is roughly how to do it....first you have to take off the cleanerhead, which means removing the soleplate, belt then brushbar. then using a torx head driver remove all the screws holding the grey cover on the front of the motor housing. the front cover should come off then. inside here is a black motor housing. this has a round grey cover on the right hand side. use a slotted screw driver to prise off the cover. inside is the motor.

remember though that taking apart your machine will invalidate your warranty and it should be electrically safety checked by a qualified person.
