Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 water level?

My Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 (4 years old) doesn't seem to be getting the clothes clean just lately. I noticed that the water level in the drum during the wash cycle seems to be pretty low - the water doesn't come above the lip of the drum. Is this correct? If the level is wrong, could this be the fault of the pressure sensor? I have checked the plastic tube which comes from the bottom of the drum to the sensor and it is not blocked. Does it make a difference if it is on economy mode?

the water level is controlen by a cencer at the frunt of the washer, take the lid off 3 philips at the back pull the top off, look at the frunt midel and you will see a round cencer with a pipe comeing off it this pipe is held on with a sprind clip slide the pipe off the cencer and blow down it hard you should hear some sound when all the water has been blown out push this pipe back on and put the clip back on this should sort it out, if it dont then its likely to need a new cencer, also dont work on this machine with it pluged into the mains, coz it will BITE YOU,
