My 2150 is seaching, searching and hard set I tried didn't work. I need to obtain a manual and experiment. Any advice on what to do. I just paid for a new battery but, that was a waste of money. Look forward to some advice

Has your synergy 2150 just started randomly displaying "Searching" on the display, even when the handset is sat in the cradle?

When this happens try a "reset" to the handset and the base station by
taking the batteries out of the handset and turning off the power to the
base. Leave them in the power-off position for at least 30 seconds before
powering them again. If this does not fix your problem than your system is
aging and most like the RF shielding cans on the handset (or base) is
corroding (or dry solder joints). If this fixes the problem, then simply
repeat this procedure whenever the problem manifest.


If this does not fix your problem try a” hard reset”
1. Turn off the mains power.
2. Press the 'page' button and power on whilst pressing the
'page' button. Keep holding the button after power on until base starts bleeping
3. Release the 'page button when the base unit stops bleeping.
4. Press the page button five times in quick succession.
5. That's it ! Full factory reset completed.

I have the same problem with mine, apparantly from what I have read on a few websites it's a common problem with this phone. I have completely switched my base station and the one problem handset off and am only using one handset at the moment. I have just found this following advice which may help:

I have looked through my manual though and it didn't say anything about this common 'searching' problem! I'm going to try to reset mine, if not it will be visiting my wheelie bin!!!
