vauxhall diesel wont start?

i brought a vauxhall vecta diesel T reg from a frend that had cut out and then wont start if i spray easy start in it it will run until i stop spraying i have had a go at bleeding it by turning the engine over but i cant seem to get eny fuel past the pump could the fuel pump be shot and wots the best way to bleed it

i have the same problem with my astra 1.7 tdi it fires up when i use easystart but when i stop using it engine stops it will start and run ok when its been towed for about 5 miles iv asked many macanics and they all say its drawing air in some where so your not alone with this problem hope it is just something simple like air im going to have go at fixing it at weekend if i get any where il let you no. regards chris

vectras are self bleeders --- common fault is the pump itself --- possible sucking air be4 the pump check lines
