I've just bought a ks and the pervious owner has put a cd player i the car (not a ford ka one). I have just purchased an original ford ka cd player and want to put it in the car but for some reason the aerial doesnt fit anymore and i think there could be a wire missing, im not very good with cars atal and i dont really want to go to a car garage for them to do it becasue its expencive, any ideas?
do you have to buy a proper ford ka cd player or can i use any cd player in my ka xx

Normally an aftermarket cd player in the Ka uses an adapter to convert the ford aerial connector to a conventional one. Check the end of the connection to make sure part of it doesn't detach. (check ebay for some pictures of these)
If part of it doesn't detach then the person who fitted it may have changed the plug by cutting it off and rewiring a new plug, or by rewiring right the way through the car to the aerial... Which wouldn't be the cleverest thing they've ever done in their lives!
