Panasonic cordless phone?

Everytime I dial, I get a message that says: "No link to base; walk closer to base and try again." I've had the phone for 2 years, and never have had that happen before

The handset has lost registration. Put the handset into registration mode and them put the base into registration mode and they will find each other.
