Replacing Cord?

I have a Rainbow SE Vacuum Cleaner Model D4C. When I plug it into the electrical wall outlet, a green liquid flows from the "male plug". I have replaced the wall outlet and I still have the same problem. I hav replaced the "male" plug on the cord and I still get the green liquid. I don't know what the problem is but I want to replace the entire cord. How do I get into the vacuum to replace the cord?

The gasket is glued in place. Be gentle removing it, and you can reuse it. This will allow you to remove the baffle plate to the see more screws that will separate the top from the bottom. From here, you will then see 4 screws in the very top. This will allow you to access the switch where the cord ends. Call us if you need further help.
