i have a slim ps2 scph-75003 13months old i used it on weekends i wanted to play the new gta lcs but onscreen the message is (unable to read disc) itried all my discs new and old still the same message so i got fed up and opened it cleaned and inspected it still (unable to read disc) . i went and bought a new silver slim ps2 (but iam going to take it back to the shops because this new console is making a louder weird faster spinning sound when playing which i find irritating) . so my problem now is do i bin the black console or is there an easy fix guide thats free?

this same problem happened 2 me and the only thing to work was a dvd cleaning disk (ones with little hairs on) and some cleaning soloution which i applied to the disk and let it run. Afterwards i cleaned my games with warm water and soap (dnt worry it wont hurt them!) and gently dabbed dry with kitchen roll.
