The door on my washing machine idesit wm12x won't open?

I have a Indesit WM12X washing machine the door won't open it there a way to open it? And if there isn't am I able to replace it or will I need to buy a new washing machine?

has the washer got any water in the drum and has it finished its wash and on the off postion

If the handle is broken you can still open the catch by threading a piece of wire down the right-hand side of the door and then pulling the piece of wire to the left (from the top and the bottom). This manually activates the door catch.
