How can I fix my zanussi dishwasher de6850?

My Zanussi de6850 dishwasher machine seems to run through the programmes ok but will not heat the water or dry. i have checked the heating element and this is OK. Any ideas as to what the problem could be. have removed the temp sensor from the sump but have no way of checking that this is working OK.

I also am habing problems with the connections in particular one terminal on the power feed orange and blue wire 2 pole connector going to the schrack relay the long thin one had almost meltted itself of the pcb. another problem is persistent not getting beyond start up ie buttonds are active but flashing start light never goes to the on condition. it does use some of the worst pcb connectors known and I have fixed this non start bt disconnecting and remating the connectors. by the way the spades used are 4.3 mm by 0.8 my company only rates these as good for 10 Amp resistve but the relay is rated 32 amp on its contacts. Itallians don't you just love them

It could be a dryjoint on the controller PCB. This was the case with my dishwasher which I've just finished fixing. You need to dismantle the control unit in the door and look at the underside of the PCB, right under the relay. If you find a scorched spot on the PCB then this is the most likely problem. Take a look at http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=13070&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=15
for photos of the relay and PCB underside. Problem was reported for an AEG Favorit 40850 but the solution also applies to the Zanussi DE6850. Hope this helps!
