Try unplugging the DVD unit, waiting about 30 seconds, and then plugging in again. It could "reboot" the unit.

Only way to open it is to take case off dvd player and look to see if anything is jamming draw. Sometimes if dvd player is not compatible with the disk the draw will not eject.
