Warning beeps on Zanussi FLE1416W?

I belive that there is a programming fault with my washing machine. I know that by holding certain buttons down i can get various responses. Its as though i just seems to forget what t do next in the program cycle. By holdig the start button down it will progress onto the next stage. The lights flash on the display. Just recently I held the start button in and the skip button. Then pushed showing green. Except for the what looks like the spin/heating element sign (Increasing circles) that showe red. Does this mean that this part has failed?? I then turned the power off and the machine seems to work fine..but dosnt m the warning /ended beeps anymore. I would love to get hold of an engineers book or find out the problem.

Thanks Phil
I have looked at the controlboard issue and these are around £65 and have to be programmed by an engineer. If i did buy one and the controlboard has lets say 5 devices fixed to it and one of those devices is faulty then i will have paid out money for nothing. Its that part where an error code would be a distinct advantage so that i could look at the actual device with an error and repair or change it. But thank you for your input.

usually on these its a fault on the front panel control board
