My jacket pockets are full of holes!?

I am a teacher and keep lots of pens in my jacket pockets, which are made of thin cotton cloth. Unfortunately this means that my pockets keep getting holes in them where the pens push through. Also the pockets themselves have begun to come away from the Leather that the jacket is made from.
My jacket is full of pens and other things I can't get out that easily!
I would like to re-sew the pockets so that they are once again contain whatever I put into them; any help, I don't even know how to basic stitch!

if your looking for a bespoke service of alteration take it to my dry cleaners on 173 yorkway camden london. otherwise take it to a dry cleaner with a prefessional tailor within the premise and they should be able to tell you exactly what needs doing. jsut ask them what will you do and they should be competant in their answer.
being young in an old industry i can tell you traditional drycleaners do not like to give advice remotely, they see it as loss of bussines. so really i would advice you to pop over to my .shop if you can wont charge you for advice/information dont worry.
