how difficult is it to chage bearings on a tricity bendix washing machine?

washing machine is very noisy on spin banging noise even on a small load belt came off ,which is now probably stretched, would you agree it is the bearings most probably and is it fixable by an amateur (lol)

many thanks

Sounds like the bearings but if the belt hads come off it's become pretty bad.
Not an easy job for a first timer as the outer drum complete has to be removed from the cabinet to get to the bearings. The outer drum is usually fastened together around the middle and then has to be split, then you extract inner drum from bearings.Problem is if the inner bearing has broken up the fragments often damage the inner drum shaft making it more expensive, personallywould think it is past an economic repair.
