How can i fix my MP3/MP4 PLAYER,TELEFUNKEN,FLASH MP4 PLAYER?

My mp3/mp4 is givivng me problems.I was trying to delete music files and i accidentally turned the player off.And when i turned it back on it was giving a message "DISK ERROR".And when i connect it to the computer it tells me i need to format it.please advise

Format
Press Start Format
All should be well
