Whirlpool LHW0050PQ Electronic Control unit, will it work?

I have a Whirlpool LHW0050PQ0 front load washing machine. It is out of warranty and need a replacement Electronic Control Unit. With much searching, I have found a control, but is for the LHW0050PQ3. Question, Can the PQ0 be replaced by the PQ3? The Control boards look to be of the same configuration (Same amount of terminals and Etc. and look almost identical) however, the PQ3 board differs slightly. After speaking a Whirlpool repairman, and finding out the repair would cost as much as I paid for the Unit, began to search for a Control Unit on my own.

I have a similar problem with a LHW0050PQ0, and have been looking for an alterative to buying the outrageously priced control board. From arcticles I have seen regarding the LHW0050PQ* series, I doubt that the boards for the 0 are interchangeable with the 3 as it looks like they finally snapped to the problem and made some improvements. However, this is all conjecture on my part. Try asking on applianceguru.com
