does anyone know if the rear speaker wires run behind the removable panel in the boot. I need to add some extra speakers onto the parcel shelf. Or to access the rear speakers direct do i have to remove the side panels on which the speakers are mounted

No you should be able to access them through the access panels to the rear lights with a bit of fiddling. I did. Depends what age corsa you got? I have a corsa b and it was rather easy to get to the wires for the parcel shelf, connected it all up in about 20 mins.
