Fridge is 4 yo, the icemaker stopped working suddenly. Water still dispenses fine. Kenmore clerk said to try replacing water filter (original filter was never replaced before) so I did put in new filter, did not help. I've tried shutting ice maker off, just to see if anything would "reset" but still no luck. Is there a radar beam that might not be working? Any help is appreciated- trying to save a + $150 service call. Thanks.

I have the exact same problem. Sales guy recommended that I replace the filter also and same result. Anxious to hear how this is fixed.
