For bad scratches on glass. Tip TV upward. Wipe with soap and water. Tape off edges. Pour a thin stream lighly over entire surface.
let dry.
Of if your just lazy like me and dont care if scratchs crack up Obamas face. Smear a thick layer of vasleline over scratches. Then smooth in one direction with fingers or a brush.

i have a similar problem with my tv screen an came across a solution called displex on amazon.this is used for game screens and mobiles etc. it may work although i hanent tried it?

Black masking tape over the scratch..... if it stays on, you'll never see the scratch again.... marvellous!
