how can i remove my stereo?

i want to remove the stereo from my 1998 ford fiesta and have bought the standard pins to do so, but when i try to remove the stereo the pins pull out of the holes??

You need to press outwards on the pins (towards the car doors) as you pull, this depresses the tabs which hold the stereo in place.
