Hoover 1300 Special Edition (CA232) Timer Problem?

Hi,
Our Hoover CA232 Washing machine has recently started playing up, some programs work fine (fast wash for one is ok) but normal washes often end up with the timer stopping part way through the cycle just after 4. This seems worse (could be a coincidence) if crease guard is switched on, moving the timer on one notch doesn't help at all!
Has anyone got any thoughts? The machine is about 4 years old and mechanically / physically perfect!
Thanks in advance, Mark.

See my answer to similar problem elsewhere (put ca232 into search box) it is almost definitely the timer unit. I replaced my own (bit fiddly) and it now works fine.

mines a 1600 special edition and it also stops in the middle of programs. Only the special speed wash works through

I have the same problem. It's like it has a mind of its own!

Definitely stops on most cycles (I think quick is also ok). Its almost to find a combination of buttons which makes it spin/drain... My current load has been washed 4 times now!

Any help appreciated,

James
